For a male vampire, the calling is both pleasure and pain.

IPPY Silver Medalist - Best Romance/Erotica E-Book
The All the King's Men Series was GraveTells' Reviewers' Choice for Series of the Year

"If you've been waiting for the next Black Dagger Brotherhood, this is it..." -GraveTells

With the threat of Apostle behind him and Samantha's life finally out of danger, Micah's mating phase, known as the calling, unfurls to full strength. Unable to resist the demands of his body and the hormonal heat that drive him to propagate the vampire race, Micah loses himself in the pleasure Sam gives him.

But the desire to nest and start a family isn't the only thing Samantha has awakened in Micah. She has also stirred Micah's long-dormant love of domination. With Sam, Micah finds himself longing to re-open his dungeon, and Sam wants to know more about this kinky world she has heard so much about but never tried.

But it's when Micah and Sam bump into Trace at a scene party that things get interesting. Trace is a submissive, a morsel Micah can't resist when he's invited to dominate Trace by his Master. And the show Micah puts on arouses more than curiosity in Sam.

Throughout her journey into this new world, Sam realizes several hard truths about herself and what she wants. Will Micah allow her to explore her freshly awakened desires? Better yet, will the newfound dynamic between Micah and Trace prove to be too much for their friendship to withstand?

Micah's Calling is a story of devotion beyond the level of friendship that will light your imagination on fire.

Author's Note This is a novella supplement to Rise of the Fallen and includes a scene from that book written in opposing points of view. It is highly advised that you read Rise of the Fallen before reading this novella. Reading book two of the series, Heart of the Warrior, would also be beneficial, but not absolutely necessary, before reading Micah's Calling.

Recommended for fans of J.R. Ward, Lara Adrian, and Gena Showalter.

Okay so I could have gone on without this. After reading Ari and Sev story I feel like the only couple that can compare will be whoever trace ends up with. I have some concerns, first sam is still married to her husband. Micah may have removed his memories but legally sam is still his wife. I can't see Micah being okay with this. Sam and Micah are a cool couple however I felt like I was reading the kinker side of Christian and Anna from fifty shades of grey. When Micah called sam little one I almost deleted this from my kindle. That's soren nickname for Nora and it makes more sense in the original sinners. The only save for this book was trace. I'm completely in love with him. While I won't be reading the rest of the series simply because I don't like the next two leading females I will be on the look out for traces book. Donya has a beautiful writing style. She gave me a very clear visual of the scenes. I dislike how the males in this book are not really males. They seem more feminine. I get the caring for your mate thing but really sam only cooked a pot of chilli and Micah did everything else. He tended to her like she was a child. If Donya wants me to believe these vampires are male and not man I'm I need them to be a lot less tame. Even the conversations Micah and Trace have sounds feminine. I just don't see two heterosexual males saying or doing some of these things in this story. This story was repetitive. The sex scene and how they start seem to all be the same. But like I said trace saved this book.

Micah Calling All the King Men Book 3 eBook Donya Lynne Reese Dante Laura LaTulipe Reviews

I often wish a book had not ended just yet. This short book picks up where Rise of the Fallen left off and ties up some loose ends, as well as continues the overall storyline for the series. This is really more about Micah and Trace, and how Sam fits into that picture of friendship. It's got BDSM, but its a very mature understanding of that scene. There are those that do not understand the true nature of this scene, and how it is more about the servant relationship of the Dom to the Sub, than the reverse. The author has very creatively used this to serve a specific purpose for Trace, but allowing Micah to continue to grow as well. This only gets better in the following books.
follow up to Rise of the Fallen & covers the "honeymoon" period of the Micah & Sam as they get to know each other now that the danger that helped bring them together has passed. the novella shows the couple's deepening love & passion for each other as well as offering some additional insight into the AKM "world" in particular to relationship/mate bonding/development. while not an intrigal part of the AKM series, the book does shows Micah's transition from self-destructive loner to caring friend/leader as well as insight into other major charaters in the series (particularly Trace & his friendship w/ Micah) that provide better enjoyment to the series as a whole.
Micah's calling, the need to propagate the race, finds Micah having no complaints with the physical demands it requires of him, nor does Sam. During the course of his calling, Micah introduces Sam to a new side of his sexual proclivities, yielding a surprise for both of them. Sam also has a side to her that is a pleasant surprise to Micah. When Trace is introduced into the mix, the bond between the three of them is strengthened even more. We learn a great deal about Trace, which in itself is a calling card. BDSM is present. MICAH'S CALLING is a sexy little novella that you won't want to put down.
I am a very avid reader. Romantic suspense, paranormal, thrillers, historical... I read all genres. Through out each book that I read, there are always little things that go unanswered, questions that ask "What happened next?". Its the little pieces of knowledge that explain a whole lot. In this book, I got my answers, finally. If you are like I am and what to know how things continue, this book #3 novella about Micah and Sam, tells you exactly that. The thrilling, erotic and suspenseful ride continues and will you be surprised. Keep reading this series and see where lives have come from and where they are going. **NOTE** I highly recommend reading the first book in this series "Rise of the Fallen". It will explain a lot. **NOTE AGAIN** This book contains the highly erotic BDSM lifestyle and many side divisions that can go with it. HOWEVER- it is in good taste and not vulgar in the least (strictly my opinion).
OmG !! This book was off the chains !! Fell in !I've with Micah and Trace in the 1st book, but this novella, had
me FALLING All over again, but much deeper. I thought that the way Donya Lynne wrote this story was beyond a mere Dom\Sub situation. And I am now More in love with Trace then EVER !! I have just found a great new Author and even greater series. If you are looking for action, adventure, and a WHOLE LOTTA SEXY, look no further! Just start buying !!!!!
I really do love this series! It is one of the few that can make me stop doing anything else so that I can catch up with these people. The story is always interesting and has enough twists and turns to keep you glued to the page. The vampires have such interesting powers and each one is just a bit different from one another that it keeps you guessing.have to say that I love the fact that these vampires actually purr when they are aroused, that sounds so hot. Everyone of them is so well drawn that you have no problem sympathizing with them or disliking those who are less savory.

The entire story takes place directly after the events in Rise of the Fallen. This is when Micah is in the depths of his Calling with Samantha. He is unable to go any amount of time without having sex and work is not an option. The only thing they really do is hang out with Traceon on occasion. There are secrets revealed and kinks uncovered for all.

I am so glad I got a chance to get a better understanding of Trace as a character. He has always been very mysterious and for once we get to know some of his secrets. Being a mixed blood has caused his powers to run out of control and Micah is about to find out just how powerful he truly is.

There is BDSM and voyeurism, humiliation, and revelation. No chases or major action but lots of heart.
