Meditation 21Day Simple Meditation Techniques to Inner Peace Love Joy (Audible Audio Edition) Camelia Gherib Lindsey Dorcus Books
This book is much more than a guide about meditation. It presents meditation as a way to develop positive thinking, gratitude, and mindfulness. Most of us know now that positive thinking attracts happiness and a fruitful life. Our thoughts shape our lives. A lot of books have been written about the importance of positive thinking, but only a few tell you how to get there.
This is what this book is about: "How can you think positively when things are going bad and what role does meditation have to play in that?"
We all have good days and bad days. Things may go wrong, people disappoint us, and so on. This is life. How to overcome negative thoughts and feelings when they show up?
Firstly Camelia Gherib, the author of this book, suggests us to live in the present rather than in the past or the future because when we constantly think of our past or future, worries tend to overwhelm us. Instead, we should focus on what we have right now and what we can do today. This way, we gain hope for a better present and a better future.
Living in the present moment is not an easy task, this is where meditation comes in.
Meditation helps us to be aware of ourselves and our emotions. Meditation helps us let go of our fears, stress, anxiety, and anger. It allows us to cultivate patience, peace, happiness, and self-belief.
This is what we all want, isn't it?
After the author reminds us the benefits of meditation, she shows us step-by-step the basic meditation techniques for calmness and focus.
We also learn how meditation can help us to deal with anger and anxieties. The remedy is called mindfulness meditation, which is a natural antidepressant. I think that everybody should learn about these methods, so that, possibly, fewer people would destroy their lives with harmful drugs.
The 4-minute guided meditation audio is particularly useful. (Free bonus included).
We get to learn about several specific methods:
#1 - S.A.F.E.
S.A.F.E. is an acronym that stands for “Soften into the feeling/emotion, allow it to be the way it is, Feel that emotion, and Expand consciousness of everyone.
# 2 - Befriending your anger, which is another mindfulness-based method, you should learn about.
# 3 - Be Mindful of everything you do
# 4 - S.T.O.P. This method can be used to stop unpleasant emotions.
I was pleased to also read about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, including clean eating, rest, and a positive social environment. Furthermore, the author suggests that we should focus on our life's purpose and goals.
The 21-day meditation program is the final part of the book, but we only get there once we are fully aware of the Why. Why should we use mindful meditation? As often, the "Why" is more important in life than the "How".
This book is a real masterpiece on positive thinking and mindfulness. Congratulations to the author!

Meditation 21Day Simple Meditation Techniques to Inner Peace Love Joy (Audible Audio Edition) Camelia Gherib Lindsey Dorcus Books Reviews
What a great and point driven book. It focuses on the important steps and the changes you can make to prepare yourself for the meditation. Then it gives a nice program which is easy to follow. It talks about how to deal with anger and stress and much more great content. It helped me take a minute to think about myself and my happiness and how I can go about improving it. This is a good book, thank you.
I'm new to meditation and working on using it along with a vegan diet to help eradicate my depression so I can come off off my medication over time. So far this meditation has had the greatest impact on me.
Somewhere in the middle of the guided meditation I blacked out for a moment, and when I regained consciousness I had the most relaxed feeling throughout my body that I've ever experienced. Thank you so much for sharing your gift. Peace to you Camelia Gherib
Learning to meditate doesn't have to involve complicated mantras or acrobatic poses. The process can be quite simple, and what I appreciate about this book is that it takes a straight forward, no-frills approach. As such, it makes an excellent introductory text that can be a springboard to a more involved practice. This book is easy to understand and includes great tips, along with access to a 4 minute guided meditation. The benefits of meditation are borne out by scientific research. This book is a means to get you started on the path to wellness.
There is a mixture of elements here, a yin-yang feeling as I alternated back and forth and finally decided to review this on what I thought was either 1) the author's intent; or, 2) a potential bonus to a reader. Note that with each element, these two possibilities could match.
There are some grammatical issues with the book, although it is not too hard to decipher the author's intent. After reading the entire book it is obvious the author wants nothing more than to help others. I am guessing that perhaps there may be a language hurdle (as in, English is a second language for Ms. Gherib). Original meaning lost in translation resulted in a few humorous moments, such as the passage where I assume the author was talking about infidelity but the spouse was referred to as the “…infidel partner.” As I said, it wasn’t hard to decipher Ms. Gherib’s meaning.
There are hyperlinks throughout the book, which contains only 31 pages. My initial instinct was that the author had deliberately taken the easy way out by setting up a book that should have been a web page. It didn’t take long to decide that Ms. Gherib had actually done her readers a favor. The links refer to web pages and articles that back up her statements, giving us the choice of whether or not we wish to read them. This is the best of both worlds. I can take the time to read the supporting information or simply take the author at her word and continue to read the book. I appreciate her saving me time yet supporting her work with other sources.
The informational content of the book achieves what the title promises. Ms. Gherib provides easy-to-understand techniques that will soon have anyone practicing meditation. She describes what to do and notes the usual pitfalls that one may encounter. Along the way she also suggests other habits that could help readers achieve better health.
I originally thought this was going to be a low-star review. However, by looking at the book through the intentions of the author, I discovered this short book has a lot of useful information, and I recommend it to anyone who has the slightest inclination to either learn about or begin to practice meditation. Four stars.
